Commercial Lighting Project

We’ve just recently completed a project for a large corporate customer in the Dublin 12 area, where we implemented our intelligent lighting designs and LED products into several of their premises across Ireland. As a result, we were able to generate financial savings in excess of €200k for the business, reduce their energy usage by 77% per annum and reduce their CO2 emissions by approximately 383 tonnes. Please see below for some examples of the lighting upgrades completed during this project, including the associated benefits and subsequent financial savings.

Car Park

Previous Light Fixture - (2x) High Pressure Sodium Lamps + Ballast = 1680W

New Lighting Fixture - Philips LUMA = 149W

As you can see from the above, we were able to reduce the energy usage for the car park of this facility from 1680W to 149W per lighting unit, a saving of just over 91%. Other benefits included:

  • Savings over installation lifetime of approximately €276,000
  • Financial savings of approximately €12,000 per annum
  • Payback period of approximately 1.9 years
  • Energy savings of approximately 107,000 kWh per annum
  • Emissions (CO2) savings of approximately 52 tonnes per annum

Warehouse

Previous Lighting Fixture - Patina Fluorescent + Ballast = 249W

New Lighting Fixture - Philips Gentlespace Highbay = 205W

In the above example we removed approximately 100 fluorescent fixtures and replaced them with 60 Philips LED fixtures, whilst retaining the appropriate lighting levels for the area. Other benefits included:

  • Savings over installation lifetime of approximately €152,000
  • Financial savings of approximately €19,000 per annum
  • Payback period of approximately 2.3 years
  • Energy savings of approximately 141,000 kWh per annum
  • Emissions (CO2) savings of approximately 68 tonnes per annum

Loading Bay

New Lighting Fixture: Philips LED Coreline Highbay = 100W

In the above example we removed approximately 34 fluorescent fixtures and replaced them with 8 Philips LED fixtures, whilst retaining the appropriate lighting levels for the area. Other benefits included:

  • Savings over installation lifetime of approximately €27,000
  • Financial savings of approximately €5,000 per annum
  • Payback period of approximately 0.8 years
  • Energy savings of approximately 36,000 kWh per annum
  • Emissions (CO2) savings of approximately 17 tonnes per annum
